Learn more about Loaned Executives and the positive impact they have on the South Plains community.
Since 1955, this highly regarded program has developed community-minded professionals while strengthening United Way’s ability to meet critical local needs.
Loaned Executives, step beyond their day-to-day role and into a collaborative leadership experience that connects business, philanthropy, and community impact. They work alongside peers from across the South Plains, gain firsthand insight into local challenges, and serve as a key ambassador for United Way in the community. More than 2,500 professionals have completed the Loaned Executive Program, many of whom have gone on to serve in senior leadership roles both professionally and in our community.
Each year, local businesses and organizations “loan” a select group of employees to United Way for a structured, part-time leadership assignment. Loaned Executives support workplace giving campaigns, build relationships with partners in the community, and serve as trusted advocates for United Way’s mission.
The program is intentionally designed to balance professional development, community engagement, and organizational impact, while remaining manageable alongside your career and other responsibilities. Participants receive leadership training, resources, mentorship, and ongoing support throughout the program.
